The Hungry Tide - GTR+VOXAmy Naylor
Originally written in New York City at the turn of the century, it remembers the life of Peter, a young actor who died of hypothermia on the unforgiving streets of the city that never sleeps during the harsh winter of 1999 when temperatures plummeted to -13 c. The song was produced in 2021 for a documentary about the work of Creative Start, an organisation that uses art therapy to support recovering alcoholics and drug abusers. It was also used as the theme for Paint the Town Proud a programme to create murals across the east coast town of grimsby that celebrate its unique heritage. Written by Ted Stanley and Steve Jackson, performed by Ted Stanley, produced by Louie George and featuring Snake Davis on Saxophone and Viveen on backing vocals.
